Steve Huynh is a YouTuber and Principal Engineer who calls himself a “productivity junkie”. In 2023 he combined his three specialties and launched his first ever course, which opened up a new world of possibilities and changed his life in ways he could never have imagined.

Steve joined the All Access Pass community in summer 2023, with 100k subscribers on his YouTube channel @ALifeEngineered. Steve wanted to do more than grow his audience incrementally. He wanted to scale and monetize what he had to offer.
Steve has 18 years of experience in the technology industry as a software developer. His mission is to help other tech professionals, like himself, develop a growth-mindset and accelerate their career as quickly as they can.
Steve decided to create a new course that would help him achieve these goals and better serve his target audience. Like many new course creators, Steve was worried about the complexities of successfully launching a course. What would be the pricing structure? What channels would he use to market the course? Should he first launch the course with a beta group? Will his students be able to access the course for life or will he use a subscription-based model?

Steve realized his program could be lucrative for students. By helping software professionals to get promoted as soon as possible, they might see their earnings increase by tens or even hundreds of thousands of dollars. Steve designed his course with two pricing points: $4,000 standard access, and $8,000 premium access.
He promoted his course using a combination YouTube content, a list of email subscribers of 5k, and guest appearances on other email lists. He launched the course on YouTube via a live webinar with up to 445 simultaneous viewers.
Steve reports, “I made a healthy six-figure sales total for my first cohort.” “I still can’t believe that.”
Steve did not stop there. He planned to expand his offering to include a new community and more courses with lower entry levels. Steve’s biggest entrepreneurial dream was finally realised when he realized that he could earn more money by focusing solely on his company.
Steve decided to launch another cohort after the first. He gave his audience the weekend to sign up. Sales increased by 30%, which was concrete proof that quitting his job had been the right decision. He released this YouTube video detailing the move.
Steve confesses, “This wasn’t really concrete for me by 2023.” After the successful launch of the new website, everything changed. “If I can do it, so can you.”
Steve met Pat in 2023 at VidSummit, just before launching Steve’s course. Steve said, “He helped calm my nervousness.” It really gave me the confidence to launch the program. Pat and his team deserve a million thanks. “This stuff works, guys!”

Steve stresses the importance of having your own content to sell, as opposed to relying solely on advertising revenue and Ad-Sense. He says it’s a hassle to maintain relationships with advertisers and produce content. Steve’s business is about to grow even faster with the All-Access Pass Community.
Steve replies, “I would like to have more time and less money in the future.” It’s also priceless, but the freedom to do whatever I want at any time is invaluable. “This isn’t really an option for me with my corporate job.”
Steve can only go up with his newly found wealth of time. With a community that is behind him, Steve’s possibilities are limitless.
